Yup. I have officially procrastinated (and been lazy) almost every project I've had in mind; today didn't help, either (I feel like crap). All the weather changes lately (wth is up with that? this is friggin August and we're having overcast, rainy weather) have caught up with me, and my sinuses are letting me know it (and the sinus medication that seems to knock me on my butt even though it says "non-drowsy"). Starla hasn't felt well, either, so I know it's not just me.
Back on the procrastination thing, I have two projects I wanted to finish this week: reworking some of the backend and putting up the new design. The design's almost finished (despite some setbacks with IE, but that's another rant coming down the pipe), but there are things that need to change in the backend before implementing it. I seem to change the code at every redesign; hopefully this change will be the last.
I've also done absolutely nothing on the widget rewrites. I'm just full of progress, aren't I? I've got another widget coming for Foo (and soon after released here). I've also come to the decision to do away with the DHTML API I use. Foo's been a proponent in that idea, and I've been fighting it since day one (code reuse is king!). You know what that means? Rewriting the rewrites.
The
AlphaFilter() feed has been removed until I can get some redudancy code in place. Retrieving the feed is causing a timeout, which then pretty much brings down the whole site (thanks to my wonderful backend design). This little feature will be changed when I finish the backend code. I plan to have a cached copy of all included feeds for occasions such as this.
