I am not, by any means, associated with the "Download Firefox and use it" campaign, but I can't help but wonder at the stats located at
W3Schools. According to these numbers, IE has steadily been losing ground while Firefox is steadily gaining it. The latest number for Firefox is 12.2% (IE's is 72%).
I am also wondering why MS decided to start hyping up IE again. According to Scoble, MS was quite satisfied with IE a few months ago. I could understand about the security issues, and I could see MS knowing of these issues beforehand and announcing additions to the IE team. But I wonder if these numbers had anything to do with their decision, too.... Interesting, to say the least. I'm hoping we see some good things coming from MS on the IE front.
