XParser

The name is still a work in progress, but it's the name of the upcoming JavaScript-based RSS/Atom parser I'm working on. I started the project for Foo and his FooReader (of which he gives some credit to me, which is very humbling; there are many, many others that are far better with JavaScript than I am), but I ended up turning it into a pet project of mine; and for some reason, I actually kind of want to work on it...which is rare these days as I've been in Desert Combat quite a bit. Perhaps this will spur me to finally finish XAdmin.NET, add in comments, and add an RSS and/or Atom feed.

Sometime this weekend, I should have version .5 available for use. It will at least parse standard RSS and maybe a bit of Atom. My hopes are for version 1.0 to support 100% of the RSS and Atom specs. A later revision will support RSS extensions.

I'm a bit torn on how to proceed with the syntax. Since I've been developing in C# for quite a while, my programming style has shifted a bit to Microsoft conventions. Yeah, it's a stupid thing to be bugged about, but I'm a detail type of guy (and I can't design worth crap go figure).

I think I'll be pleased with the outcome. The real question will be if everyone else is pleased with it <laughs />
