I ran across
this article today, and I can't help but shake my head at the Labels' logic. If they think there's a huge problem with piracy now, they haven't seen anything yet.
99 cents per download is a perfect price. Sure, their profits may be cut a bit, but perhaps they should require more from the performers they sign. Let's face it: the past few years have had little excitement as far as music is concerned. There are a few bands that have put forth decent albums, and I have no problem with dropping $12-$15 for them. But when I come across a song that I just have to have (and the rest of the album is utter crap), iTunes saves me $11-$14.
The past 20 music purchases I've made have been through iTunes. The last CD I bought was over a year ago. With music like this, it's no wonder the Labels are losing money. Too bad their not smart enough to figure it out.
