HP Supports the RIAA

It is a sad position to take, especially since the RIAA is one of the most hated organizations in the country. Fiorina, the current CEO of HP, makes music sharing out to be the sole cause of the economic downturn over the past few years. Has she forgotten how economics works? Perhaps if her company (and other large companies) decided to stop outsourcing jobs to other countries, our economy would have a nice little boost. According to Fiorina (can be found at http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/execteam/speeches/fiorina/forbes04.html):

"Frankly, I don't think outsourcing is the objective in itself; I think outsourcing is a means to an end. Our outsourcing business is growing at four times the market rate today. A year ago, our outsourced business was growing about 15%. In the quarter we just announced, it's growing at 36%, so we are seeing accelerating momentum in our outsourcing."

Ugh! Yet she has the gall to stand at CES and pronounce music sharing as an economic killer; yet her own company refuses to give jobs to wanting Americans, which would bolster the economy (people getting paid = more money being spent = better economy). I’m boggled.
